- Content of the Blog: Content is something that will keep you apart from the other bloggers. If your blog content is unique, innovative, original, attractive and informative to the users, then obviously reader will love to follow your blogs and readers will love to read your blogs and aricles on regular basic. Also, Keep updating your blog with latest happening and updates. This will increase interest in your readers and which in tun help you in getting more traffic to your website.
- Bog Design: Though you have content rich blog, if you blog design is poor then your readers will losse interest in reading your blog posts. So, make sure that you blog design is very neat and presentable. As you know first impression is alwasy the best impression. If you can make good impression with your neatly structured blog design, then you have good chances of attracting readers to your blog. Also, remember to select appropriate font which suits your blog design.
- Tags: Tags is one of the mostly neglected factor by the new bloggers. Search engines will recognize you blogs through tags. so, spare some time to provide appropriate tags to your blog posts. Providing appropriate tags to your articles will give better chances for your blog to be recognized by the search engines.
- Search Engine Optimization(SEO): Follow some SEO techniques which will help you in driving more traffic to your blogs. Try to use relavent keywords in yout blog posts as much as possible. Also , make sure that you wont spam your articles with too many relavent keywords. Use the SEO techniques in optimized way to get more traffic to your blogs.
- Submit Blog to Searc engines: When a user wants to know about a particluar topic , they will go and search for that topic in search engines( google,yahoo, etc.,). And based on the search results displayed in the search engines , user will click on the urls. Though your blog is Content rich and well designed , it need not be displayed in the search results because of various reasons. So, submit your blog to the search engines . Submtting blog to search engines doesnot guarantee that your blog will be shown up the top search results, But it will give fair chances for your blog to be listed on the search results.
- Interact with Readers: When ever you get a comment to your blog, then reply to that comment. This is one way through which you can communicate with your readers and interact with them to get more suggesstion . This will also encourage the readers to read your blog on regular basis.
- Publicity: Pubilicity is one of the major aspect which plays vital role in getting more traffic to your blog. There are lot of ways to give free publicity to your blog.
- Include your blog url in your mail signatures and in your business cards. So that when ever you send a new mail , your mail receiver will notice your url and will click on that url. If your blog content is good, obviously they will show interest in reading your blog.
- Join in public forums and comminities. People with the similar type of interests gather in public forums and start discussing about the topics which they want to share. If you share your articles/ blog posts in the public forums, then your blog will have better chances of being noticed.
- Social Networking: Most of the prople in todays world are spending lot of their time in social networking. So, Share your blog posts and artciles in social networking sites like Facebook, Google+ and twitter. If your articles are good, then those articles will be shared by your friends with others. This way your articles will be spread across the world and your blogs will be noticed through out the world. Also, share your articles in social bookmarking sites like digg, reddit , etc.,
- Traffic Exchange Sites: Though its not a suggestable way to get traffic to your blog through traffic exchange sites; if your new blogger and so desparate to see more traffic to your blog, then you can go for traffic exchange sites. Using Traffic exchange sites you can get thousands of views to your blog in single day.
